Saefern [pronounced say-fern] is a peaceful community of 133 homes located on the Epping Forest Peninsula between Clements and Saltworks Creeks in Annapolis, Maryland. The homes in Saefern vary in size and style, each nestled on wooded lots ranging from 1 to 1.5 acres. Despite its serene, forested surroundings, Saefern offers quick and convenient access to Annapolis, as well as major highways to Washington D.C. and Baltimore.

 

Clements and Saltworks Creeks provide deep-water access to the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay, making it ideal for boaters. The community boasts a variety of amenities, including 134 boat slips spread across three dock locations, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and a horse stable. The Saefern community association, known as the Saefern Saddle & Yacht Club, offers membership to all homeowners for a reasonable annual fee, granting access to the docks, pool, tennis and pickleball courts, stables, and a dog park. Boat slips are typically available without the need for a waiting list, while horse stabling is subject to availability.

 

Saefern is a lively community with numerous social events throughout the year, fostering a close-knit, active lifestyle for its residents.
